He was predeceased by: his mother Mathilda (Tillie); his parents-in-law, Hans and Bertina Nordby; his sister Opal Harstad; and his son Joel Krause.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie; his daughters, Melody Hanson (Jim) and Bonnie Krause-Wichman (Dave); his sister Ruby Hinzman; his grandchildren, Hannah Bennett and Hans Marske; and his great grandchildren, Brylie and Braelynn Bennett.
