She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Theisen and Lucille Theisen (Welter); and her brother Randy Theisen. She is survived by: her husband Richard Panka of Prairie; her children, Jeff, Christine Panka (DeHahn) of Prairie, Greg, Bonnie Panka (Vyvyan) of Racine, WI, David, Debra Panka (Barness) of Prairie, Paul, Candice Panka (Hinke) of New Prague, MN, Kristin (Brian Girard) and Kathie (Scott Campbell); her grandchildren, Nicholas Johansen (Amie), Michael, Brandon, Jacob (Haley), Nathan Johansen (Liz), Justine Heslip (Ryan), Joshua, Bria Wemmert (Troy), Kaitlin, Cassandra Bradac (Nick), Nicole, Justin, Joseph, Andrew, Ethan, Owen, Isabelle, Celine, Claire, Olivia, Brendan and Elliot; and her siblings, Virgil Theisen (Marlene), Shirley Bushman (Duane) and Diane Colby (Brian). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be designated in memory of Verna Panka to Lewy Body Dementia Research at Mayo Clinic.
