He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence "Dyke" Merkousko and Barbara Merkousko (Junge); his sister Lauri Edwards; and his nephew Matthew. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Buzard; his son Kalon Mitchell (Manuela); and his siblings, Larry (Sherri), Amy Weiser and Beth Pessin (Mark).
