He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Welsch and Wilhelmina Welsch (Campbell); his wife Norma Govier; his siblings, George "Poncho", Clarence Welsch, Jean Novey and Ruth Moris; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Schneider, Ed Novey, Richard Krogman, Bob Tubbs, Cy Moris, Mary Ann Welsch, Barb Tubbs and Dorothy Welsch.
He is survived by: his sons, Floyd "Rick" (Lynette), David (Susie Rasmussen), Scott and Jim Welsch (Barb); his sisters, Maxine Krogman, Rita Hinkel (Larry) and Linda Schneider; his grandchildren, Spencer (Katie), Alexandra, Amy, Scottie (Jordan), Daniel (Morgan), Becky (Dylan McClain) and Katy Welsch; his great grandchildren, Aidan, Devon, Murray and Fiona; and his goddaughter Robbie Mason. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including his special niece.
