He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Schlichting and Alice Merkel Schlichting; and his grandchildren, Joseph and Grace Lippert. He is survived by: his wife Carol Gruse; his children, Renee Lippert (Rob) and Robert Schlichting (Jodi); his grandchildren, Caleigh, Lyndsey, Noah, Maren, Andrew, Kolby, Jude Lippert, Uriah and Jade Schlichting; and his siblings, Joyce LaMore, Beverly Tyson, Barbara Much (Jerry) and Jim Schlichting (Mary). He is also survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
