Dorothy G. Zahn Obituary

Dorothy Grace Zahn, 92, of Porterfield, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away peacefully in West Bend surrounded by her family.

Dorothy graduated from West Milwaukee High School, the first High School graduate in her family. She married Richard Zahn (Dick) on May 17, 1952, and together they raised five children. She held many jobs over her lifetime, but taking care of her family was most important to her. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Northwoods Quilt Guild. Dorothy enjoyed spending time outdoors and gardening (mostly cutting grass). On her 70th birthday, she bought herself a brand new snowmobile, which she loved to ride fast! She was definitely loved for being "One of a kind".

Beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" Zahn. Devoted mother of Kathleen (the late Stephen) Bayer, Carol (Larry) Pawlik, Linda (David) Rehberger, Richard (Stephanie) Zahn and Dale (Susan) Zahn. Loving grandma of Scott (Stacey) Bayer, Sonya (Ryan) Herrick, Kurt Bayer, Danielle Pawlik, Tony (Andrea) Pawlik, Joseph (Kristi) Rehberger, Lisa Rehberger, Michelle (Michael) Giebler, Timothy (Christine) Zahn, Sabrina Zahn (Luke Zibell), Jessica (Daniel) Moschea and Valerie Zahn. Loving great grandma of Kaylee Bayer, Piper Herrick, Laikyn Herrick, Gavin Bayer, Jacob Pawlik, Jackson Pawlik, Harrison Rehberger, Mathew Giebler, Malcolm Giebler, Maxwell Zahn, Samantha Zahn, Theo Zibell, Cooper Moschea and Gatlin Moschea and great-great grandma to Niko Anderson. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Carole Schmidt, Alan (Janice) Schmidt, Michael (Sandra) Schmidt, David Schmidt, Lois Millard and Dorothy DeValk.

Preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents Lambert and Helen; son-in-law Stephen Bayer, two siblings Kathleen Schmidt and Lawrence Schmidt.

Visitation on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, W250 N6505 HWY 164 in Sussex from 2PM until time of the Memorial Service at 4PM.
