He is survived by: his children, Nannette Olle of Racine, Mike Schneller (Kelly) of Sun Prairie, Rebecca Schneller of Portage, Crystal Olnick (Dan) of Portage, Adam Carpenter (Kristie) of Fall River, Rachel Swanke (Brian) of Markesan, Nicholas Carpenter of Poynette, Kelly Carpenter of Friendship and Justin Carpenter of Portage; his close friend Linda Legner of Portage; and his siblings, Pete Carpenter (Tess) of Pardeeville, Gary Carpenter of Baraboo, William Carpenter of Portage, Edna Thompson of Baraboo and Darlene Babcock of Viroqua. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
