He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rasmus "Chris" Johnson and May (Thompson); his daughters, Christine Garchow, Nina Schroeder (Henry) and Jan Wagner (Dave); his sister H. Marie Thompson; his wife Dorothy; and his son-in-law Paul Garchow.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Portage.
