He was predeceased by: his daughter Susan Zyzek (Kinney); his parents, James Edward Kinney and Anastasia Alice Ryan (Kinney); his sister Gertrude; and his brother-in-law Donald Delaurier.

He is survived by: his daughter Anastasia S. Kinney (Dan Mael); and his wife Kathleen. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and long-time friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family to be donated to multiple charities of Mike's wishes.
