Merton W. Russell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merton W. Russell (Portage, Wisconsin), who passed away on October 17, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Russell and Mary Russell (Hill); his siblings, Rosalyn Dahlke and Keith Russell (Donna); his parents-in-law, Charles and Leone Schwanz; and his brother-in-law Gale Manteufel.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Schwanz; his children, Dan Russell (Gail) and Laura Hoffman (Dan); his grandchildren, Danielle Gilson, Lacey (Kaylynn), Bethany Russell, Amanda Wirsbinski (Nick) and Ben Hoffman (Amber); his great grandchildren, Madalyn Hoffman, Fynnlei Layborn, Peytenn Hoffman, Shae and Logan Gilson; and his sister Beulah Manteufel. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moundville United Methodist Church.
