He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Gohlke and Esther Gohlke (Phillips); his wife Barbara Sue Bates; his brother Gale Gohlke; and his nephew Dennis Gohlke.

He is survived by: his children, Tracey Wilson, Sheri Rylicki (Daniel) and Jon Gohlke (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Bethany Ackerson (Logan), Debra Wilson (Ryan Meisel), Palmer Gohlke (Abbigail), Emma Brevik (Jacob), Kolton Gohlke (Tessa), Kendal Gohlke (Kayla), Jeremy Rylicki (Madison Jordahl), Natalie Rylicki and Audrey Rylicki; his brother Marlin Gohlke (Joy); and his sisters-in-law, Carol Gohlke and Linda Drew. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established by the family.
