He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughters, Laurie Briggs and Sharon Rainey (Dale); his grandchildren, Kim Meyers, Lisa Hering (Robert), Jeremy Schmidt, Jessica Schmidt, Sara Schmidt, Toni Higgins (Carey) and Danielle Rainey; and his brothers, Robert Schmidt (Paulette) and William Schmidt.
