He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nelson and Emma Nelson (Ones); his wife Virginia Ruffridge; and his sisters, Evelyn Braaten and Joyce Braaten.
He is survived by: his children, Jacalyn Stavlo (Jim) of West Salem and Eric Nelson (Sue) of Randolph; his grandchildren, Joseph Stavlo (Jami), Kim Stavlo, William Stavlo (Kristin), Kristian Nelson and Emma Nelson; and his great grandchildren, Blake Emery, Elizabeth Stavlo, Ava Stavlo, William Stavlo and Arthur Stavlo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
