She was predeceased by: her parents, William Franklin Brawner and Lela Belle Jones Brawner; her husband James Harley Spurry; her son John; and her siblings, Paul Wilson Brawner, Emma Jean Tubbs, Rita June Groseclose, Willie Belle "Billie" Hughel and Anna Ruth Campbell.
She is survived by: her children, Diana Barber (Steven) of Port Washington, Gregory Spurry (Nancy) of Whitefish Bay and Catherine Thun Meenk (Paul) of Billings, MO.; her daughter-in-law Joan Spurry of Crivitz; her grandchildren, Jonathan Spurry Baumann (Amy), Brian Barber (Andi), Jason Barber (Bethany), Kevin Barber, Aimee Barber, Michael Thun (Jessica), Kristin Thun Schneider (Matthew), Mason Spurry and Gabriel Spurry; and her great grandchildren, Mykaela, Chase, Georgia, Dylan, Braelyn, Jett, Cale, Rowan, Dash, Alexis, Clark and Harlee. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army.
