With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald James Schowalter (Port Washington, Wisconsin), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 17, 2024 at the age of 98. He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Schowalter and Ludmilla "Milla" Schowalter; his grandparents, Jacob and Barbara Schowalter; his son Paul; his siblings, Ruth Mehring (Ken) and Robert Schowalter (Ruth); and his siblings-in-law, Marvin and Mary Nash (Hill).
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Bette" Hill; his children, Steve Schowalter (Wendy), Mark Schowalter (Cathy) and Sally Savatski (Bob); his grandchildren, Tracy Braun (Justin), James Schowalter (Jennifer), Jacob Schowalter (Miranda), Mikayla Schowalter (Andrew Porter), Matthew Savatski and Ashley Sippel (Max); his brother Dan; his sister-in-law Carole Priske (Hill) of Green Lake; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Steven Schowalter, Cooper, Riley, Adeline Braun, Tyler, Madilyn Savatski, Howard and Molly Sippel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM and on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Peter of Alcantara Church (1800 N Wisconsin St, Port Washington, WI 53074).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Port Washington Historical Society, the Ozaukee Food Alliance or Port Washington Food Pantry.
