He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilbert Roob and Theresa Roob (Miller); his nephew Scott Mayer; his niece Kelly Sullivan (Mayer); and his daughter-in-law Lauren Roob (Sorchy).

He is survived by: his close friend Ken Miller; his wife Barbara; his sons, Timothy, Christopher, Benjamin and Eric (Erin Clancy); his sister Joanne Mayer (Harry); his niece Tracy Machaj (Ron); his sister-in-law Rosemary Marciniak (Jerry); and his nephew Nathan Marciniak. He is also survived by many cousins, and friends.
