He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Schmidt and Priscilla Schmidt; his brother Richard "Dick"; and his sister-in-law Susan. He is survived by: his brothers, Gerald Schmidt (Elaine), Kenneth Schmidt and Christopher Schmidt (Marla); and his sister-in-law Karen Schmidt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
