He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dorothy Schaeffer, George Jr., Edward, Harold and Arthur "Buddy" Kowalke.
He is survived by: his parents, George Kowalke and Elsie Froeburg Kowalke; his daughters, Cynthia Leiting (Herb) of Madison, Debbi Verheyen (Greg) of Port Washington, Beth Baier (Dennis) of Monrovia, CA and Amy Kowalke-Laabs (Bruce) of Fredonia; his grandchildren, Timothy, Christopher, Michelle, Katie, Jason, Brian Verheyen, Michael, David, John Baier, Justin, Amanda and Alyssa Laabs; and his great grandchildren, Anna, Madie, Nathan, Caleb, Kalin, Kylee, Mia, Gavin, Savannah, Alexis, Brady, Colton, Emerson, Brynn and Raelynn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Meals on Wheels (ADRC of Ozaukee County) or to a veteran's charity of the donor's choice.
