He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Schmutzler and Dorothy Schuh; and his sister-in-law Linda Schmutzler. He is survived by: his wife Barbara M. Bode; his children, Brighton Schmutzler of Park City, Shane Schmutzler (Becky) of Port Washington and Dunn Schmutzler of Greendale; his stepchildren, Anne Bourguignon of Colorado, Mike Bourguignon of Colorado and Mark Bourguignon (Carrie) of California; his grandchildren, Allison, Emmalee, Savannah, Ammon, Miriam, Quinn, Sydney and Vivienne; and his brother Paul Schmutzler (Sondra Green).
Donations would be welcome in his honor to St. John's Lutheran Church (217 North Freeman Drive, Port Washington, WI, 53074).
