Donald E. Rose Obituary
Donald E. Rose passed Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards, Wisconsin. He was born January 19, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Escho and Clarsie (Rennison) Rose. Donald served in the U.S. Army and worked as a school bus driver and delivering vehicles to an auto auction. He was also a volunteer firefighter for McHenry Township Company 3 Fire House in McHenry, Illinois, for 20 years.
Survivors include two sons, Donald E. "Skip" Rose, Jr. and Chad Wood Rose; two granddaughters; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; step-son, Michael Borchardt; brother, Ray Rose; along with many, many family members and friends who love him. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Rose; son, Gregory Walsh Rose; sister, Ellen Groot; and brothers, Bud and Bill Rose.
There will be no local services held. Burial will take place in the Stars and Stripes Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri, at a later date. The Herman-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Center, in Wisconsin Rapids, is honored to be assisting the family.
