He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathew Bertolini and Mildred Bertolini; his stepfather Angelo Roberts; his brother Mathew Bertolini; his parents-in-law, Emil and Frieda Welker; and his brothers-in-law, Uwe Welker and Joachim Hildebrandt.

He is survived by: his wife Lilli Welker; his children, Michael Bertolini (Lori), Marc Bertolini (Lorri), Karen Bertolini and Carmen Woiak (Andrew); his grandchildren, Cassandra Bertolini, Ashley Cartman, Bo Bertolini, Clint, Karlee and Lee Woiak; his great grandchildren, Johnny and Charlotte Cartman; and his sisters-in-law, Ute Hildebrandt and Margaret Welker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
