He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Metze and Bertha Metze (Pfeiffer); his wife Eileen Ruth Schellenberg; his sister Mary Kallenberg; and his brothers-in-law, Kenny Kallenberg and Merlin Schmidt.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Koehler (Scott) of Waukesha, Connie Mertens (Patrick) of Elkhart Lake and Jim Metze of Plymouth; and his sister Shirley Schmidt. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews and many other relatives and friends.
