He was predeceased by: his parents, Aldace Arnsmeier and Myrtle Arnsmeier (Olson); his son Scott Alan Arnsmeier; and his siblings, Dale and Juanita.

He is survived by: his children, Dean Arnsmeier (Jodie) of Sheboygan and Dana Barber (Troy) of Plymouth; his grandsons, Travis and Mitchell Barber; his close friend Jane Donath; and his brothers, Duaine Arnsmeier of Arkansas and Donald Arnsmeier of Darlington, WI..

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ivan's name.
