He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" W. Hanson and Donna V. Hanson (Devereaux); his wife Joyce E. Danielson; his siblings, Robert Hanson and Donna Radley (Walter); and his siblings-in-law, Carol Schreiner and Charles Martin.
He is survived by: his children, David Hanson (Peggy) of Stevens Point, Thomas Hanson (Sharon) of Waupaca and Holly Morgan of Plover; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hanson (Lacey) of Tulsa, OK, Austin Hanson (Shannon K.) of Stevens Point, Amanda Hanson (John N.) of Stevens Point, William Hanson of Madison, Dustin Karcheski (Holly E.-K.) of Plover, Dylan Karcheski of Plover and Dayne Karcheski (Savannah P.) of Wisconsin Rapids; his great grandchildren, Grey, Barrett, Hazel Hanson, Sam Hanson, Arden Etlicher-Karcheski, Lillian Etlicher-Karcheski, Everett and Owen Karcheski; his brother Larry Hanson (Lil) of Stevens Point; and his siblings-in-law, Carmen Hanson of Beaver Dam, Sharon Martin of Appleton and Steven Danielson (Carolyn) of Waupaca. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the A. J. Holly & Sons (526 S Main St, Waupaca, WI 54981). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in John's memory to a veterans' charity or organization of your choice.
