Roger Brian Hohberger Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Brian Hohberger (Johnsburg, IL), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 78. After a battle with cancer, he was surrounded by family at the time of his death at Hospice Alliance in Pleasant Prarie, WI. Beloved husband of Karen (nee Fredigke) and loving father to Katherine (Chris Bennett,) Lauren Hohberger and his mini best friend and grandson, Shane Hohberger. Roger was a pioneer in the confectionary world taking on third generation candy manufacturing. John T. Hohberger started it, Harry H. Hohberger continued until Roger took reigns. He’s grown many businesses over the past 50 years including Hohberger Manufacturing Inc., Hohberger Manufacturing Co., Candy Worx and consulting work. He’s always been “the King of candy.” His love for eating out, boating, traveling and making sure family was taken care were his ultimate priority. Born to late Harry and Lois (nee Pickering) on May 16, 1945, Roger was one of six children. Brothers include late Harry Jr. “Skip”, late Noel (Diane). As well as sisters, late Dorothy (Edward Leahy), Candace (Nick Hingel) and Donna (Keith Lauver.) This includes many nieces and nephews. He’s always been a well loved man to all who have met him, he will be missed beyond words.
