He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Rinehart and Doris Rinehart (Wittenmyer); his in-laws, Adrian and Margaret DeBruin; and his brothers-in-law, Wally and Tom.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce M DeBruin; his son Stephen; his daughter-in-law Lisa; his daughter Heidi; his son-in-law Todd; his grandchildren, Mica, Sabastian (Alyssa), Morgan (Coty) and Miranda; his great grandchildren, Jayce, James, Ariya, Lizzie and Athena; and his sister-in-law Bonnie (Lloyd).
