He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie Elizabeth Shaffer and Henry Fawver; his stepdaughter NaDean Conrad; and his sister Patsy Ann Snyder. He is survived by: his former wife Joanne F. Colenari; his wife Marcia Schwartz; his daughters, Tiffney Gates (Troy) and Joanne Meloro; his stepchildren, Brook Davidson of Kenosha, Donald Schwartz of Kenosha and Cara Gorr (Darren) of Kenosha; his stepson-in-law Bob Conrad of Kenosha; and his siblings, Nelson Snyder of Robert Snyder, Ala, Truman Fawver, Harrison Fawver, Thomas Fawver and Diane Fawver Dunn-Phipps. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren and his seven great grandchildren.
