He was predeceased by: his sister Nellie Ballard. He is survived by: his son Herbert Ballard; his wife Peggy Ann Ballard; his children, Daniel Ballard (Sherri) and Elizabeth Racine (Michael); his grandchildren, Anthony Racine, Sydney Ballard and Ashley Racine; and his sisters, Betty Harden (Dan) and Angie Freeman (Taylor). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
