It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William P. Schmidt of Platteville, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, William shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid William farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schmidt and Ina Schmidt (Cherrier); and his siblings, Judy Kohout and Jack Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Judy of Mary's Catholic Church; his sons, Dennis, Pat (Vicki), Mark (Lori), Chris and Dan (Courtney); and his brother James Schmidt (Donna). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
