He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy McWilliams and Thelma McWilliams (Riter); his wife Patricia Tindell; his children, Robert McWilliams (Donna), Cindy Nyberg (Bob) and John McWilliams (Beth); his grandchildren, Carolyn McWilliams (Hunter), Richard McWilliams, Jim Nyberg (Rachel), Rachel Nyberg, Cate Hudziak (Darren) and Jack McWilliams (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Ellie, Wren and Thomas; and his sister Mary Breihan.

In his memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (ALZ.org).
