She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard J. Baxter and Leona M. Baxter (Howes); her son Joseph Leonard Steinhart; her siblings, Catherine Irons (Bob), Lorraine Skrypek (Don), Ruth Rainey Caldwell (David), John Baxter (Margie) and William Baxter (Hazel); and her parents-in-law, Mary and Oswald Steinhart.
She is survived by: her husband Ray Steinhart of Platteville, WI; her children, Joan Steinhart of Platteville, WI, Mary Steinhart of Cuba City, WI, Janet Loeffelholz (Dennis) of Cuba City, WI, John Steinhart (Karen) of Platteville, WI and Jerry Steinhart (Kathi) of New Berlin, WI; her sister Sara Hrdlicka (Bob) of Charles City, IA; her sister-in-law Mary Catherine Kelleher of Lansing, IA; her grandchildren, Karrie, Jennifer, Tony, Joe, Katherine, Jessica and Michael; and her great grandchildren, Ben, Austin, Kylie, Oliver, Yuri, Rua, Wari, Kashi, Jack, Cora and Tyson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a Margaret M. Steinhart Memorial Fund has been established.
