He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Richter and Laura Richter (Schuchart); his wife Donna Collins; his siblings, Kathleen Griffis (Jim), Helen Koeller (Fred), Bernadine Schade (Jack) and Francis "Bud" Richter; and his grandson Eric Richter.
He is survived by: his children, Marie Woolf (Mike), Marcus Richter (Deb), Richard Richter (Jane), Joan Heister, Terry Richter (Jill), Diane Martinez (David), Gary Richter (Tina) and Jim Richter (Bev); and his brother-in-law Dennis Collins (Dawne). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
