She was predeceased by: her parents, Ishmael L. Orton and Adella A. Orton (Chlan); and her siblings, Chester and Carol Brakefield. She is survived by: her husband Wendell; her sons, Owen Bennett (Wendy Kephart) and Kevin Bennett (Pam); her brother Joseph Orton (Linda); and her siblings-in-law, Cora Orton and Richard Brakefield. She is also survived by four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lutheran Church of Peace.
