He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Newman and Lavern Newman. He is survived by: his wife Joy McNett; his children, Kevin, Santa Monica, Calif, Steven San Jose (Cecilia), Amy (Mike) and N. Y.; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Lucas and Ryan Grace.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice or Monona United Methodist Church, where he and Joy have been active members since 1962.
