He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Abraham Reinstein and Rose Reinstein (Scher); his wife Fern Kouvant; his children, Adam (Danielle MacLaurin) and Suzanne (Kenyari Brown); his grandchildren, Ari, Sasha Brown, Joanna and Alana Perkins; and his brother Phillip.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Jesse G. Reinstein Scholarship Fund to be set up at Mound City Bank.
