Dawson in Platteville, Wisconsin, born in Oelwein, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 4, 2024 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cameron Dawson and Florence Dawson; his granddaughter Grace; his half-brother Larry (Nancy Fidler); his grandparents, Leona Wilkinson (Kane), Kenneth (KC) and Lydia Dawson (Harms); and his in-laws, Russell, Dorothy Lancaster, Butch, Bruce, Shelly Lancaster, Roger Wallenhorst (Gator) and Karen Zasada.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne M. Lancaster; his son Joseph James; his grandchildren, Julian, Ira and Jemma; his in-laws, Connie, Molly Wallenhorst of Thorp, WI, Randy Zasada of Brantwood, WI and Peg Lancaster of Viola, WI; and his cousins, Susan Roepke of Hazelton, Carol Torrey of Phoenix, AZ, Tom Dawson of Independence and Deanna Dawson of Mankato, MN.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
