He is survived by: his children, Scott Bethke (Dawn) and Jane Russell (Paul Haverland); his son-in-law John Lau (Kathy Hochhausen); his grandchildren, Andrea Russell, Joe Russell (Stacie Sanborn), Mitchell Bethke (Darcy), Nathan Bethke, Katie Lau-Lolwing (James), Maggie Kartman (Dan) and Ashley Fure (Doug); and his great grandchildren, Conrad, Willard, Laura Bethke, Keira, Koy Kartman, Marian, Madeline Russell, Violet, Penny and Gus Fure.
