He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Pothour and Margaret Pothour (Kartmann); his son-in-law Denny Hall; his brother Gene Pothour; and his parents-in-law, Loretta Holzer and Dallas Gardner.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Holzer; his daughters, Jennie Pothour and Nicole Etringer (Matt); his grandchildren, Courtnie, Adison and Grayson; his great grandchildren, Bradey and Tatum; his brother Jim Pothour; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Koenig (Dave), Mary Pothour and Bob Holzer (Lexa).

Memorials may be made to the Gary Pothour Memorial Fund.
