He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Spink and Gretta Spink (Thomas); his daughter Linette Spink (Sterian); and his siblings, Joseph, Ruth, Florence, Myrtle, Gordon, Alice, Donald, Esther, Shirley and Carol.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Zirkelbach of Platteville; his children, Angie Fleming (Richard II) of Ankeny, IA, Kevin Spink (Maria) of Apizaco, Mexico, Kirstin Goldsberry (James) of Dayton, OH, Ben Spink (Csilla) of Mereni, Romania, Heather Ringberg (Chris) of Platteville, Leanne Rewey (Jesse) of Platteville and Kellie Perleberg (Ethan Schultz) of Platteville; his grandchildren, Richard III, Joshua (Amber), Rachel, Rebekah, Ruth, Roselyn, Amanda, Kalman, Klara, Kaszon, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Allison, Andrew, Mark (Lindsey), Bethany, Ashton, Sarah (Russell), Grace and Greyson; and his great grandchildren, Adelyn, Carter, Abagail and Westley.
