With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carl H. Coates of Platteville, Wisconsin, born in Cuba City, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 2, 2024 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton "Bud" Coates and Betty Coates (Nolte); and his siblings, Michael and Faye. He is survived by: his wife Diane Kipper of Clement's Catholic Church; his children, Steven Coates (Brianna Dietzel) and Jennifer Capps (Michael); his grandchildren, Christopher, Chloe Capps and Graydon Coates; and his siblings, Dixie Hetzner, Bonnie Pederson, Penny Johnson (Terry), Ada Olson (Larry), Jim Coates (Marita), Fred Coates (Lynn), Kenny Coates, Johnny Coates, Chuck Coates (Patricia), Edward Coates (Carla Wick) and Jerry Coates. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
