He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former spouses, Gerilynn Woyak and Kathy Schwersenska; his wife Kathy Goodwin (Schwersenska) of Coloma, WI; his sons, Isaac Goodwin (Ellen) of Austin, TX and Courtney Goodwin (Charlene) of Port Edwards, WI; his mother Marcella Goodwin of Hancock, WI; his siblings, Reinie Ruffalo (Greg) of Plainfield, WI, Terry Goodwin of Oxford, WI, Wendy Caves (John) of Hancock, WI, Greg 'Hal' Goodwin of Hancock, WI, Tim Goodwin (Donica) of Coloma, WI, Tom Goodwin (Mariah) of Westfield, WI and Patrick Goodwin (Julie) of Pulaski, WI; his grandchildren, Violet, Paige, Emely, Natalie and Andrew; his siblings-in-law, Dave Wilkens, Charles Schwersenska (Lynnea), Milferd Schwersenska (Ginger), Arthur Schwersenska, Raymond Schwersenska, Margie Phipps, Cindy Steele (Doug), Jeannine Schwersenska and Julie Buchkowski (Corey); his pet Princess; his father Byron Goodwin; his sister Valerie Wilkins; his parents-in-law, Milferd and Anna Schwersenska; and his brother-in-law David Phipps. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his memory.
