It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonnie M. Wellens of Plainfield, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Bonnie may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Klabunde and Matie Klabunde (Collis); her husband Joseph D. Wellens; and her grandsons, James and Joseph.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph J. Wellens, Suzanne M. Slominski (Greg) and Lois J. Schlueter (Charles). She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (1165 County Rd D, Almond, WI 54909). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (1165 County Rd D, Almond, WI 54909).
