With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marietta A. Gruber (Plain, Wisconsin), who passed away on June 29, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Loren Phillips and Helen Phillips (Osborne); her husband Victor Gruber; her son Victor; her brother Robert (Bobby); her siblings-in-law, Harold Even (Snap), Clarence Fowell, Raymond Gruber, Alois Gruber, Cletus Gruber (Cubby), William Gruber, Les Mueller, Gus Louis, Les Neefe, Celia Gruber, Anita Gruber, Caroline Mueller (Kelly) and Mary Ann Gruber; and her granddaughter Kayla Thering.

She is survived by : her children, Dennis Gruber (Jan) of Baraboo, David Gruber of Hillpoint, Susan Thering (Rob) of Spring Green, Sandy Meise (Kevin) of Plain and Shari Klenke (Karl) of Redgranite; her grandchildren, Jeromy, Ryan, Mariah, Katie, Heather, Eric, Robin, Kyle, Craig, Paige, Megan and Mackenzie; her stepgrandchildren, Kayla, Tyler and Ben; her sisters, Karen Fowell of Reedsburg and Marion Duren (Tom) of Hillpoint; and her sisters-in-law, Lilas Rabine of Richland Center, Agatha Neefe (Sis) of Bear Valley and Arlene Louis of Richland Center. She is also survived by Her grandchildren gifted her with 26 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (S8280 County Rd G, Plain, WI 53577). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
