He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schwanebeck and Anna Schwanebeck (Rennack); his siblings, Irma Winker, Lorraine Jesperson, Lester and Ted; his son-in-law Mike Nash; and his siblings-in-law, Joe (Manette), Ed, Jim Urban, Anne Garrels (Elmer), Louise Engleman (Eldon) and Ellen Karloske (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Jean Urban; his children, Amy Noel (Jim), Julie Hiles (Fred), Mary (Jim Leiser), Tammy Farrell (John), Steve (Peggy) and Thomas (Kristi); and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen, Marjory Urban, Loretta Ward and Howard Jespersen. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
