He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Merritt; and his sister Peggy Dass (Dennis). He is survived by: his mother Dolores Merritt; his siblings, Linda Kesting (Bob), Suzi Conner, Marshfield, Cheryl Fuller (Seth), Mike (Pittsville), Wally Pittsville, Dan (Pittsville) and Ron (Pittsville); and his godchildren, Nicholas Schutz (Kristy), Jesse Erickson (Brian) and Caitlyn Fuller.
