He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Scholzen and Elizabeth Scholzen (Schlorb); his wife Paula Funderburk; his niece Sara Partain; and his great-nephews, Morgan Gorst and Merlin Schooley.
He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Scholzen (Sue) of Keithville, LA, Harold Scholzen (Judy) of Glidden, Paul Scholzen (Stephana) of Vesper, Sandra Olson (David) of Pittsville, Bettyann Gorst (Douglas) of Pittsville, Jeffery Scholzen (Agnes) of Arpin, Gertrude Cahill of Chattanooga, TN, Ida Scholzen of Pittsville and Joseph Scholzen (Linda) of Arpin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Wood County Humane Society.
