She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Melby and Melva Melby (Olson); her husband Donald O. Tomten; her siblings, Dorothy Stalheim (Merton) and Wallen Melby; her stepfather Einar Kildahl; and her stepsiblings, Erling Kildahl (Margrete), Richard Kildahl, Philip Kildahl, Mildred Briggs (Jim), Jack Bridgewater, Ruth Roelofs (Maynard), Fern Gilbertson (Sidney) and Bob Tomten.
She is survived by: her children, David Tomten (Heidi) of Eau Claire and Nancy Gunderson (Nels) of Osseo; her grandchildren, Blair Tomten, Berit Tomten of Seattle, WA., Bernt Gunderson (Kendall) and Trystan Gunderson; her great grandchildren, Jaxon of Osseo and Blayke Gunderson of Osseo; her stepsister Ruth Bridgewater; and her sister-in-law Audrey Tomten. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Peace Lutheran of Pigeon Falls or the Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Pigeon Falls.
