He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gehrke and Annette Gehrke (Lochner). He is survived by: his wife Merceda Aldridge (Ceda); his children, Tim (Kim) and Angie Peshtigo (Flett); his grandchildren, Aaron, Seth and Cassie Flett; and his siblings, Paul of Mosinee, Jim (Kay) of Rhinelander and Kathleen of Stevens Point.
He served one term on the Phillips School Board, was a member of the Phillips Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Ann Marie Foundation and coached many local children in Little League.
