He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer "Slats" and Martha Martin (Andersen); his wife Ruth; his siblings, Quinten "Ned", Virginia "Sis" Elizabeth "Betty" and George; and his pet Scooter.
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Hinze (Daniel); his grandchild Jade Scholz; his son Richard Martin (Sabreena); his granddaughters, Chelsea and Amber Martin; his great grandchildren, Braxton, Summer and Susan Kerner (Allen); his sister June Jensen; and also, Amy and Bradley.
