James Steenport Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Steenport of Phelps, Wisconsin, born in Chilton, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Steenport and Madeline Steenport (DeKarsky); his former wife Audrey Jochman; and his sisters, Diane and Doris.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Meyer (Muenster); his children, Jamie Steenport, John Steenport (Sybilla) and Amy Wenger (Steve); his stepchildren, Eric Meyer, Christian Meyer (Jenn Tack) and Russell Meyer (Annalisa); and his siblings, Steve Steenport (Joy), Jerry Steenport (Donna) and Betty Zahn. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (223 Silver Lake Rd, Eagle River, WI 54521). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
